THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! They have created an atmosphere that is open for all types of veterans, and it encourages the people it opens its doors to share their experiences, which is invaluable to a veteran’s sense of community, especially when they return from combat zones. They also opened the post up for warming shelter’s when it is freezing outside. They also take donations. Other charities like wounded warriors projects only take cash donations, but they have taken donations such as wheelchairs and given them to disabled vets in the local area. I don’t think there is a better post out there. And it should make an American legion member proud to be a member. What’s the point of a membership if you do not attempt to help out the community? These member should be proud.
